A Connecticut man was arrested Sunday after he stabbed a female Walmart cashier over the price of milk.
The stabbing took place at a local Walmart in Waterbury that afternoon after Hichman Asfir, 40, grabbed the cashier after she scanned the gallon of milk and told him the price. He allegedly walked around the register, grabbed the 19-year-old cashier by the hair, then stabbed her with the folding knife by her left ear.
After the stabbing, Asfir sat on the floor and waited for the police to arrive. The cashier was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment and reported to be in stable condition.
Asfir was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree breach of peach. Currently, he is being held on a $500,000 bond and appeared for arraignment on Monday.
