A sushi-bar worker who roamed the Upper East Side sexually assaulting women smiled as one of his victims screamed during the attack, prosecutors said Sunday.
Suspect Damian Baeza Rendon, 20, was ordered held on $200,000 cash bail at his arraignment Sunday on three counts of sexual abuse and one count of forcible touching.
In one incident, Rendon, who came to America from Mexico a year ago, allegedly grabbed a woman’s privates on the street.
“That victim recalled the defendant smiling as she screamed,” prosecutors said at his arraignment.
In another attack, Rendon followed a woman off of a subway train and tailed her on the street, authorities said.
He then grabbed her buttocks, lifted up her skirt and groped her breasts and vagina, prosecutors said.
In a separate June attack, Rendon forcibly licked his victim’s breast, authorities said.

“All I did was touch them,” Rendon told arresting officers, according to sources.
A prosecutor said in court Sunday, “The defendant confessed to his crimes and identified himself in the video.”
Police arrested Rendon of Harlem around 1:20 a.m. Saturday in front of 11 E. 104th St.
His lawyer, Andrew Miller, said outside court that Rendon is “maintaining his innocence” in the case and that it’s the first time he’s been in trouble.
