The two Americans who were kidnapped at gunpoint in Mexico and then murdered were identified Tuesday as Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown, CNN reported.

Woodard and Brown were with Latavia “Tay” McGee and Eric James in the northeastern border city of Matamoros on Friday when they were snatched in broad daylight.

McGee and James survived the attack, and have since returned home to the US, CNN reported. Police said one of the two survivors was injured, but didn’t specify whom.

The foursome, all from South Carolina, was in Mexico to accompany McGee to her tummy tuck surgery.
