On May 15, 2025, the fourth day of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial in New York City, his former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, underwent a rigorous cross-examination by the defense. Defense attorney Anna Estevao presented explicit text messages and emails between Ventura and Combs, suggesting that Ventura was a willing participant in their sexual activities, including the so-called “freak-offs.” Ventura, who is eight months pregnant, acknowledged the messages but maintained that her involvement was coerced and part of a cycle of abuse.

The defense also questioned Ventura about her past drug use and alleged jealousy over Combs’ other relationships, aiming to challenge her credibility. Despite the intense questioning, Ventura stood by her previous testimony, asserting that Combs controlled many aspects of her life and subjected her to physical and psychological abuse.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He remains in federal custody and could face life imprisonment if convicted.

The trial is expected to continue with further testimonies in the coming days.
