Alt-R&B singer rum.gold has revealed his new album Is There Anybody Home? will release March 27 via Independent Co.

The 11-track album is divided into two parts, with the latter half — Disc 2 (Act of God) — having been released in November.

Disc 1 (Friend of a Friend) includes the newly shared single “Walking Dead,” produced by Rahmm Silverglade, Rogers, and Zach Ess. Regarding the track, rum.gold explained, it “is about grieving the living, and what becomes of those we once knew.”

Is There Anybody Home? will follow the D.C. native’s 2023 album, U Street Anthology, which paid tribute to his hometown.

In an interview with SoundFynd, rum.gold explained why his Is There Anybody Home? is in two parts. “When I started making the songs, maybe like two years ago, I noticed that there were two pieces, or two perspectives of the same story. So in my mind, it made sense to split up these perspectives into two parts,” he said. “The perspectives are loosely adulthood and, more or less, childhood.”

Rum.gold will support his new album on his Is There Anybody Home Tourwhich kicks off Feb. 20 in Los Angeles. He will make stops in San Diego, Seattle, New York, D.C. and more before concluding April 11 in Atlanta.
