Jamie Foxx will make his musical return next month. The award-winning actor and singer has announced his new single “Somebody” will release Feb. 13.
Foxx confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Thursday morning (Jan. 29). “Bout that time #somebody,” he captioned for a promotional flyer with the release date.
On the track, Foxx longs to fill a void left by a heartbreak he just can’t shake. “Can somebody find somebody to get this somebody off my mind?” he croons.
“Somebody” will mark Foxx’s first proper single in over a decade. In 2015, he released his fifth album, Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses. The LP included the Chris Brown-assisted “You Changed Me” and Wale-featured “Like a Drum.”
At this time, it’s unclear if “Somebody” is a standalone release or is part of a future project. We will update this story as more details are revealed to us.
