Rapper Kodak Black is back in the headlines after reportedly being arrested in Florida on a new drug trafficking charge — and social media is already debating the details surrounding the case.

According to reports, Kodak Black (real name Bill Kapri) turned himself in to authorities in connection to an investigation tied to a November 2025 traffic stop. His attorney says the rapper was not inside the vehicle when police allegedly discovered a prescription bottle connected to the case. Authorities reportedly claim Kodak’s fingerprint was found on the bottle, leading to the trafficking-related charge.  

His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, is pushing back hard against the allegations and says the legal basis for the charge is weak. Cohen reportedly argued that prosecutors escalated the case beyond simple possession despite questions surrounding whether the item can legally be tied to Kodak directly.  

The arrest has sparked heavy reactions online, with many fans questioning how someone can face a trafficking charge tied to a car they allegedly were not even riding in. Others pointed out Kodak Black’s long history of legal troubles, which has included previous arrests involving weapons and drug-related accusations over the years.  

Kodak Black has openly discussed struggles with substance abuse in the past and previously said he entered rehab voluntarily while trying to better himself for his children and career.  

At this time, the case is still developing and the rapper has not been convicted of the new charge.
