Diddy’s Attorney Says “Military-Level Force” Raids Were “Excessive”

Diddy‘s attorney described the raids his client was subject to as “excessive.” On Tuesday (Mar. 26), Attorney Aaron Dyer released a statement following Homeland Security raiding Sean Combs‘ Los Angeles and Miami homes. Dyer detailed the situation as “a gross use of military-level force.” The attorney also claimed that his client was “innocent and will continue to fight.”

“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” Dyer released in a statement. “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”

“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations,” Dyer added. “Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name… [This] unprecedented ambush led to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”

FOX 11 reports that Homeland Security raided the businessman’s properties in connection to a sex trafficking investigation. Sean Comb’s LA residence is reportedly registered to Bad Boys Films, a subsidiary of Bad Boy Entertainment, and is listed under the name of one of Diddy’s daughters. Hal Kempfer, Homeland Security expert, noted that the examined evidence included “laptops, flash drives, and anything that would connect Combs with the allegations.”

As previously reported, federal agents ransacked Diddy’s homes on Monday. While Combs didn’t seem to be present at the time, the authorities reportedly arrested his sons, Justin and Christian Combs. The brothers returned to the house later that night to grab boxes and suitcases. Justin was recently named in a lawsuit against Diddy filed by a male producer named Rodney “Lil’ Rod” Jones.

Various outlets seemed to flirt with the idea that Diddy fled the country as TMZ reported his LoveAir private jet to be grounded in Antigua. However, the troubled mogul was found not to have been on the plane. The outlet then released footage showing Diddy in Miami, where one of his homes was raided, pacing about the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. He’s seen in the clip waiting near the Customs office without handcuffs.
