A young Diamondbacks fan caught what was deemed a home run turned fan interference, and was relocated in Chase Field on Friday.
During the seventh inning of the game against the Reds, Arizona outfielder and former Met Tommy Pham hit a deep ball that appeared headed over the fence, but was low enough for the Cincinnati rookie outfielder Spencer Steer to grab, or so he thought.
Steer leaped up and left with nothing as on a closer look the young fan pulled the ball with his own glove out of Steer’s.

The play was initially called as a homer for Pham, but after further review, the umpires overturned the call into an out on fan interference.
“MVP” chants rang out for the fan as the call was under review and the child was later captured on video being removed from his seat with his family, receiving high-fives from fellow fans as he left.
The Diamondbacks broadcaster reported that the fan and his family were not ejected from the game, but rather relocated within Chase Field.

The complex incident didn’t have a significant effect on the outcome of the game between the two teams fighting for a wild-card spot.
The Diamondbacks both won the night 10-4 with Pham going 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
